The days of providing a standard-issue PC to an employee to be used at a generic cubicle are becoming a distant memory. In the past few years, workers have rapidly adopted new technologies, taken charge of their productivity, and learned to work from nearly anywhere. As employers seek to provide employees with greater autonomy and flexibility through hybrid work strategies, they should understand employees as shoppers – of where they might work, the tools they might use, and the experiences they seek. But in offering more choice and variety, organizations can also hold employees to greater standards and higher demands, equipping them to compete and achieve in a new era of work.
